Published on 2 June 2014

Asian Couture Federation (ACF) Founding President Dr Frank Cintamani and ACF Vice-President Ms Emily Hwang recently paid a visit to Guo Pei, China’s most renowned couture designer, at her studio in Beijing, China.

On May 22, 2014, the Asian Couturier Extraordinaire showed her guests from ACF around her atelier, which is known as Rose Studio. Famous for her mythical, elaborate creations infused with stunning details, Guo Pei is an artist who leaves no stones unturned when it comes to pursuing perfection in her art. Rose Studio comprises three adjacent buildings and it is where her splendid pieces are crafted painstakingly by hand. Rose Studio employs 450 craftsmen, of whom 300 are embroiderers, with the remaining 150 consisting of designers, pattern-makers and sewing technicians, all of which are personally trained by her.
